strange toddler behavior
Can someone explain to me how it is possible for a little 2-year old to run my household? The kinds of phrases that comes out of his mouth in addition to his peculiar behavior make for a comedy no doubt. Here are some strange yet funny things he's done lately:
- In an effort to run away from him, for even a few minutes of respite, my husband shut the door behind him. Lil guy follows him, knocks on the door, and introduces himself as the big bad wolf. Knock-knock, open the door, this is the big bad wolf. this phrase is repeated about a dozen times until one is forced to leave a cozy bed to open the door to said big bad wolf.
- One day, I thought it would be nice to nurse the baby in a relatively more quiet room and thus away from Grover jr. Right on cue, just a few minutes later, i hear, 'mama, where are you, mama, where are you?' as he follows me upstairs into my room. 'a-ha! i found you', he's ecstatic. now he leaves and shuts the door behind him, by mistake, no less. i thought to myself, oh great, now i have to get up and open the door, but no! instead, he starts walking away and screaming, 'mama where are you? mama where are you?? and he adds a few tears'. i thought to myself, is he kidding? does he really not know where i am??? how is this possible?
- Hide & Seek: His new favorite game, which requires a lot of patience but is quite humorous. He will ask you to count to ten and then find him, while he hides adjacent to your leg.
